Ships that carried the Australische Hauptline Cancel never touched any of the Marshall Islands ports. Friedemann details the background of a fraudulent scheme whereby a person with access to the cancel of the München created a large number of favour cancels on German colonial stamps, particularly on those from the Marianas.
