Philatelic Covers--Metz Covers
by Dirk H.R. Spennemann

Philatelic Covers are those which have been created by stamp dealers and collectors desireous to manufacture varieties and clever variations. The contemporary stamp press was very critical of these; and still collectors tend to regard these as less interesting than the demand items with the correct postage. One of the major creators was A.M. Metz in Nürnberg.

Registered philatelic cover created all Pfennig values of the Yacht issue postmarked Jaluit 11 March 1906, backstamped Nürnberg 9 May 1906. Note the registration number R675 . [Source: ### z28]
