Postage Stamps used in the German Marshall Islands Yacht Issues Philatelic Covers by Dirk H.R. Spennemann |
Introduction
|
Philatelic Covers are those which have been created by stamp dealers and collectors desireous to manufacture varieties and clever variations. The contemporary stamp press was very critical of these; and still collectors tend to regard these as less interesting than the demand items with the correct postage. One of the major creators of philatelic covers with the Nürnberg stamp dealer A.M. Metz. Philatelic covers from other German Pacific colonies are shown here, with other Metz covers shown here. While most of the covers originated in Jaluit, some Nauru covers are also known. |
