Verordnung betreffend die Beförderung von Postsendungen innerhalb und ausserhalb des Schutzgebietes der Marshall-Inseln | Regulations regarding the Transportation of Mail within and beyond the Protectorate of the Marshall Islands | |
Auf Grund der allerhöchsten Verordnung vom 15.Oktober 1886 wird hierdurch unter Aufhebung der Verordnung vom 29. März 1889 betreffend die Einrichtung einer Kaiserlichen Postagentur in Jaluit wie folgt verordnet: | With authority of the highest directive of 15 October 1886 the following is ordered with respect to the establishment of an Imperial Post Ofice on Jaluit superseeding the regulation of 29 March 1889. | |
§ 1. Die Beförderung aller Postsendungen (eingeschriebener oder einfacher Briefe und Postkarten, Drucksachen, Warenproben und Geschäftspapiere) innerhalb und nach ausserhalb des Schutzgebietes erfolgt ausschliesslich durch die Kaiserliche Postagentur in Jaluit. | § 1. The conveyance of all mail (registered or standard letters and post cards, printed matter, trade samples and business documents) within and beyond the protectorate will occur solely through the services of the Imperial Postal Agency on Jaluit. | |
§ 2. Der Führer eines jeden Schiffes ist verpflichtet, Postsendungn der im § 1. bezeichneten Art an jedem von ihm innerhalb des Schutzgebietes angelaufenen Platze in Empfang zu nehmen und nach jedem von ihm berührten Platze zu befördern. Beim Eintreffen in Jaluit hat er ohne Verzug diesselben bei der Kaiserlichen Postagentur abzuliefern. | § 2. The captain of every vessel is required to accept mail, as defined in paragraph 1, at each place visited in the protectorate and is required deliver mail to all places he touches on. Upon arrival in Jaluit he is required to surrender all mail to the Imperial Postal Agency. | |
§ 3. Der Führer eines jeden Jaluit verlassenden Schiffes hat mindestens 24 Stunden vor Abfahrt der Kaiserlichen Postagentur von dem Zeitpunkte der Abreise unter Angabe der Anlaufsplätze Anzeige zu erstatten. | § 3. The captain of every vessel has to notify the Imperial Postal Agency of his departure 24 hours ahead of time and to provide a list of the places visited. | |
§ 4. Zuwiderhandlungen gegen diese Verordnungen werden mit Geldstrafe bis zu 500 Mark oder Gefängnis bis zu zwei Monaten bestraft. | § 4. Offences against these regulations will be punished with a monetary fine up to 500 Marks or up to months jail. | |
§ 5. Diese Verordnung tritt mit dem heutigen Tage in Kraft. | § 5. The regulation comes into force today. | |
