After the death of Fournier's assistant Hirschburger, the remaining stock was bought by the "Union Philatelique de Geneve, which subsequently issued 480 albums of Fournier's stamps for reference purposes, each stamp overprinted "Faux" or "Facsimile." The German colonies were represented on page 25 of these albums. Shown on this page are examples of these pages. The individual stamps have been described on the country-specific pages. Typically a page comprised of two Eagle Issue stamps and 9 Yachts issues, drawn from the colonies, as well as a setenant block of six. A set of overprints for the Eagles series stamps was added at the bottom. |
